The name derives from the delicate white flowers which bloom in the sand. Behind the dunes, there is a small pool where waders can easily be spotted in springtime. On the headland to the north, a Bronze Age nuraghe is clearly visible. In the past, the whole surrounding coastline would have been monitored for enemy invasions from there. Close by and easily accessible by road, there are a bar and a farmstay, offering comfort and high quality services, to make a holiday in this enchanting oasis all the more delightful. For those who are keen on physical pursuits, the beach can also be reached by mountain bike or on horseback.
