During the night of January 16th, the night sky is lighted up by the light of the bonfires in honour of Saint Anthony of Egypt.
Saint Sebastian is the second patron of Dorgali. The festival of Saint Sebastian is celebrated just like that of Saint Anthony with an enormous bonfire in the piazza of Saint Catherine in the evening of January 19th.
Merry carnival folly in the streets of the village with carnival parades, carnival masks, allegorical chariots, Sardinian square dance groups in their traditional folk costumes, and horse races with masqueraded horsemen. Information at the Pro Loco (Local Tourist Office).
During the Holy Week, there are numerous imposing processions that celebrate the Easter rite. You can admire the magnificent local folk costumes of the participants.
The Feast of Saint John the Baptist is celebrated in a little church from the 18th century in the countryside near Dorgali on the Saturday either side of June 24th. Every year, the centuries-old traditions are repeated: choral singing, dances, folk costumes, pastries, and gastronomic specialities.
The Feast of San Pantaleon was celebrated near the Cedrino River on July 27th. But it isn’t celebrated any more because of the construction of the dam.
The Feast of the Assumption is celebrated in Dorgali and Cala Gonone from August 14th to August 17th in honour of the Assumption of Mary.
The table of events offers various religious and folkloric events, as for instance the procession of the statue of Mary with horsemen in traditional costumes, horse races and horseriding events, shows, and tastings.
This feast is celebrated in honour of Saint Cyprian and Saint Cornelius, Dorgali’s patron and the pope who canonised him.
It is celebrated with Holy Masses and processions in traditional costumes. Traditional Sardinian dances are danced in front of the prior’s house for a whole week.

at the end of april, the feast of the Madonna di Bonaria is celebrated with a torchlight procession on sea.
